ABOUT US

The American College of Diabetology was formed to advance the field of Diabetology by certifying physicians in the primary care subspecialty to ensure high standards in diabetes expertise, care delivery, and clinical diabetes management. Certification in Diabetology demonstrates that the physician has the necessary qualifications to deliver excellent care in diabetes.

We imagine a world without diabetes. Until that is achieved, we work to bring access to diabetes care to everyone in need. Certifying primary care physicians and working in partnership with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nurses, dieticians, and the entire interprofessional team can help us achieve that goal. Meet our Board of Directors and Staff below!

  • Our mission is to uphold high standards in comprehensive diabetes care and promote effective clinical management by training clinicians in the subspecialty of Diabetology.

  • At the American College of Diabetology, we recognize that diabetes mellitus affects people of all ages and from all walks of life. Our commitment to diversity means understanding the unique needs of every person with diabetes, regardless of background or circumstance, and delivering compassionate care.

We strive to create an inclusive environment where healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds work together to improve outcomes for all communities. We aim to advance high standards of training and innovative care and to ensure equitable treatment for everyone impacted by diabetes. Together, we are stronger in our mission to advance excellence in diabetes care.
